Assessment Techniques

As an instructor, it is helpful to approach assessment through multiple avenues in order to get a more comprehensive view of student learning and instructor performance (Graff 2010). We have gathered some example assessment and grading techniques. However, not every example will fit every class, and instructors are encouraged to adapt and create methods based on the needs of their classes. (Angelo and Cross 1993)

We are primarily looking at summative and formative techniques with varying levels of formality and difficulty of implementation to assist in either more immediate concerns or concerns regarding course design
