Center for Transformative Teaching Data Privacy

The Center for Transformative Teaching (CTT) is committed to protecting the privacy and accuracy of confidential information to the extent possible, subject to provisions of state and federal law. Other than as required by laws that guarantee public access to certain types of information, or in response to subpoenas or other legal instruments that authorize access, personal information is not actively shared. In particular, we do not re-distribute or sell personal information collected on our web site, or in any of our programming or instructional design consultations. We also take the position that people should have access to the information collected from and about them.

Information We Collect

Website

  • Web pages requested and the number of page views thereof
  • Date and time
  • Referring web pages
  • Browsers used

Teaching.unl.edu does not associate data to individual user identities.

Cookies. The CTT website does not currently employ cookies to customize visitor experiences.

Webforms. Forms are used on the website, through Microsoft forms, and Qualtrics. These forms require users to give contact and related information in order to register for programming. This information is used to send material relating to the purpose for which it was collected.

Programming and Consultations

The CTT tracks participation in programming and use of consultation services. This information is used for the following purposes:

  • Reporting aggregate participation and use of services
  • Informing internal programming and consultation needs and satisfaction

Distribution of Collected Information

The CTT will not disclose, without your consent, personal information collected about you, except for certain explicit circumstances in which disclosure is required by law.

The CTT will not distribute personal information, such as programs participated in, to other individuals, organizations, or units without your consent or prior understanding of its distribution. For example, CTT teaching and learning grants require approval and support of the applicant’s departmental chair.

Privacy Statement Revisions

This Privacy Statement was last revised on September 24, 2021. We may change this Privacy Statement at any time and for any reason. If we make a significant change to our Privacy Statement, we will post a notice on the homepage of our web site for a period of time after the change is made.
