March Round Up

After seeing its highest attendance, the Center for Transformative Teaching is excited to announce that the Institute for Online Teaching is back this year with more opportunities for the university’s instructional community. The four-week institute is designed to guide new and novice online instructors to explore the unique opportunities and challenges of the online learning environment.

Those interested in attending have until Monday, May 16 to register. To learn more, visit the IOT webpage.

Back by popular demand, the CTT will also be hosting a workshop in May to focus on course mapping using the backward design method. This four-hour, highly interactive workshop will walk participants through the backward design process from writing course goals all the way up to brainstorming learning experiences. To register, visit the workshop webpage.

Instructors are encouraged to let qualifying students know the unique opportunity to showcase research as part of the International Conference of Undergraduate Research. Registration is now open for undergraduates to apply and will close sometime in late May or early June. More information can be found on the ICUR webpage.
