Aspirational Teaching: Fostering Co-Creation in Our Classrooms

May 10, 2021

A pedagogy of co-creation invites students to work with faculty as active partners in creating new knowledge. This approach to education helps better engage students in the learning process while allowing them to develop independence and critical thinking skills. To help instructors better implement co-creation within their courses, the CTT is offered a workshop presented by Dr. Nick Monk and Amy Ort called ‘Aspirational Teaching: Fostering Co-Creation in Our Classrooms.

This workshop gave instructors examples of different approaches for implementing co-creation within their classrooms to highlight the variety of ways that students can generate knowledge within a course. It will also included a hands-on activity to help instructors develop a specific co-creation activity for their courses.
