In this workshop conducted July 10, participants gained a greater understanding of their UNL colleagues' experiences with academic integrity and assessment, learned about best practices for increasing academic integrity along with increasing their familiarity with the tools and techniques used, and considered assessment approaches for their own classes
John Geppert, professor of Finance and former director of assessment in the College of Business partnered with the Center for Transformative Teaching to offer a hands-on workshop focusing on the evaluation and teaching of critical thinking using machine-graded questions.
Topics were drawn from common questions and challenges using the Canvas gradebook and assignment tool, including weighted assignment groups, dropping assignment grades, extra credit, the importance of adding zeroes, and how to add rubrics to assignments.
This workshop examined the process of gathering and responding to student feedback in order to promote student success and to complement new course evaluation metrics.
The Center for Transformative Teaching and Patty Sollars, Director of Undergraduate Education Programs presented two workshops guiding you through the ACE process.
Given in Fall 2019, the Emerging Pedagogies Workshop: VR/AR looked at ways these technologies are being used in education.
