Equity in the classroom is not a destination, but a journey requiring ongoing reflection and input. This workshop facilitated reflection by presenting inclusive teaching strategies, then provided time for reflection and discussion with peers. The workshop facilitated discussion around three topics: course policies, course interactions, and assessments. We worked together to identify ideas and next steps to continue increasing equity in courses.
Discussions in this workshop also aimed to prepare participants to incorporate equity considerations into their teaching philosophies.
