Instructional Designers support the mission of the CTT by providing teaching, course design, and related technology consultations to faculty for in-person, blended, and online learning environments. IDs work collaboratively with other team members to implement CTT priorities, programs, and initiatives and the CTT works closely with program, college, and other University units and partners on projects and programming that advance teaching innovation and excellence and support student success. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- One or more years’ experience in a combination of teaching, instructional design, educational technologies, course development, or related areas.
- Experience working with learning management systems to design and develop courses.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of learning theories, instructional design, and inclusive pedagogy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree.
- Two or more years’ experience in a combination of teaching, instructional design, educational technologies, course development, or related areas.
- Experience within a post-secondary environment.
- Successful experience with project management, multimedia development, and development in Canvas LMS.
- Knowledge of one or more specialist pedagogies or Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
- Proficient in using communication and presentation technologies such as Zoom, PowerPoint, lecture capturing software, etc.
