I am a UNL professor of chemistry, freshly emeritus. As a biochemist, my lab studied the bacterial proteins that are critical for lagging strand DNA synthesis. In teaching, I developed materials that motivated people to want to learn more chemistry. The projects included chemistry in the movies, the history of my department, and Indigenizing the chemistry lab manual at Nebraska's two tribal colleges.
