Gender can impact the student experience in the classroom in a variety of different ways. In this workshop, we will explore how instructor and students’ beliefs, classroom structure, outside influences, and systemic barriers create gender inequities in the classroom. We will also discuss specific, evidence-based teaching strategies that instructors can use to foster an educational environment that is supportive of students of all genders. Finger food will be provided.
